Hunting for Easter Baskets

Well, my basket was easy to find, Matt set it out for me on the bathroom counter. He obviously wasn't aware of the Shipley family tradition to hide the basket. On Tuesday night, he told me he still hadn't found his basket, so I narrowed it down for him to one closet. For Easter, we went to Jackie's house (Matt's sister) for lunch and to celebrate Jordan's 3rd birthday. Then, we went to Leslie and Greg Friel's home for some gaming and dessert! So, we didn't get to baskets until after 9:30 at night.

Busy Easter! Sounds like you had a good time. Did Matt ever find his basket? What was in yours? Hope you are doing good. Love you. (And tell Matt to keep posting, too---he makes me laugh.)

Dad Shipley writes: I'm almost sorry that I left such a difficult to live-up-to legacy about Easter baskets. I'm sure the idea wasn't to make little kids cry because they couldn't find them. You should remember that when you were little I left them in easy places. It was only when you were in your late teens and early twenties that I started hiding them in the really hard places.

Matt may be new to the game, but he definitely isn't "little" anymore. I guess I should have gone easier on him.

So WHERE in the closet and which closet did you hide it in - and how long did it take him to find it once he knew it was in the closet? Did he find it or did you have to find it for him?
